Some of the coolest new phone services have very traditional roots. Cheap, Web-activated, international calling, for example, is just an updated version of venerable calling-card services. It uses the same basic infrastructure — cut-rate overseas circuits that are accessible by calling local numbers — to let users get around their phone companies' high international rates. All that's different is how users initiate the calls. And while the target users are also typically different, for meditation types they needn't be. A new service from Voxofon LLC eliminates the artificial distinction between the service types.
